Mercedes Benz SL Class

is one cool cars and one of the most elegant and classy convertables on the road. There are several different models. The current models with the new body style are Mercedes SL500, SL600, SL55, and the SL65. Production of the Mercedes SL series started in the 1950's with the SL300 and has continued to today with the 500.


The current models are available in a 5.0 liter V8, 5.5 super charged, and 6.0 Twin turbo V12. The SL 500 has a 5.0 liter V8 engine that makes 302 horsepower. The hot supercharged version SL55 makes 493 Horsepower. The cool SL600 has 5.5 liter Twin Turbo V12 engine that makes 500 horsepower. The most exotic version, SL65 is a suped up version the SL 600 and has a 6.0 liter Twin turbo V12 engine that makes 604 horsepower and a whopping 738 pounds of torque. 0-60 times are under 4 seconds. The SL65 is the most powerful production roadster / convertible currently made.
